Job summary

Visit Milwaukee in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Visitor Experience Specialist - Event Activations to manage activations aligned with organizational and client objectives. You will plan, coordinate resources, and serve as the main operations decision-maker for assigned events, working with venues, partners, volunteers and internal teams.

You will analyze outcomes, recommend improvements, and ensure visitor experiences meet brand standards while maintaining schedule, budget and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in hospitality, event management, tourism, communications, marketing, business or related field preferred.
• Three or more years of demonstrated project, event operations, activation, hospitality or related experience preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
• Experience in the tourism, hospitality, association, convention or event industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own activations from planning through execution, evaluation, and closeout under supervision.
• Develop activation plans, timelines, staffing models, resource plans and contingency plans.
• Coordinate and direct implementation with internal departments, venues, partners, volunteers, staff and vendors.
• Serve as the primary operational decision-maker and adjust staffing and service delivery as needed.
• Lead post-event reviews and develop recommendations for future activation design and execution.
