The Public Policy Program at William & Mary invites applications for an 18-month, non-tenure track Visiting Teaching Faculty position beginning January 10, 2027. The appointee will teach undergraduate Public Policy (BA) courses and Master’s in Public Policy (MPP) courses and be an effective teacher with a 3–3 teaching load.

Ideal candidates will have experience teaching introductory undergraduate courses and upper-level courses aligned with their research interests.

Formación

• A Ph.D. degree (or appropriate terminal degree) in Public Policy, Economics, Government/Political Science, Law or a related field or the equivalent (master’s degree and five years working experience in public policy) is required at the time appointment begins (January 10, 2027).
• Applicants must have completed 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline in which they will teach.
• Ability to teach introductory courses in public policy for undergraduates.
• Ability to teach upper-level courses that align with the candidate’s interests.

Responsabilidades

• Teach undergraduate courses in the BA Public Policy major and graduate courses in the MPP program.
• Deliver engaging instruction and maintain a 3–3 teaching load.
• Contribute to mentoring students and supporting the program’s academic standards.
