Job summary

William & Mary’s Public Policy Program invites applications for an 18-month, non-tenure track Visiting Teaching Faculty position beginning January 10, 2027. The successful candidate will teach courses for the undergraduate Public Policy major (B.A. Public Policy) and the Master’s in Public Policy (MPP) program and be expected to teach introductory and upper-level courses.

A 3-3 teaching load is anticipated. Required qualifications include a Ph.D.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Public Policy or related field (or terminal degree) required at start date.
• 18 graduate credit hours completed in teaching discipline.
• Ability to teach introductory public policy courses for undergraduates.
• Ability to teach upper-level courses aligned with interests.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate Public Policy major courses and MPP program courses.
• Maintain a 3-3 teaching load.
• Contribute to program activities and student mentoring.
