Job summary

William & Mary invites applications for an 18-month, non-tenure track Visiting Teaching Faculty position in Public Policy beginning January 10, 2027. The role involves teaching undergraduate Public Policy and the MPP program, with a 3-3 teaching load and a focus on effective classroom instruction.

The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. (or terminal degree) in Public Policy or related fields, and will reflect on teaching practices that advance academic excellence for all learners.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or terminal degree in a related field is required by Jan 10, 2027.
• 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline required.
• Ability to teach both introductory and upper-level public policy courses.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate Public Policy courses for the BA program and graduate courses for the MPP program.
• Maintain an effective teaching load of 3 courses per term (3-3).
• Contribute to curriculum planning and student mentoring in Public Policy.
