Job summary

DeVry University is seeking an experienced faculty member to teach courses and programs in line with university requirements. You will facilitate undergraduate and graduate learning, design syllabi and lesson plans, and apply effective teaching techniques to meet objectives.

You will develop and update course materials, leverage online technologies and course software, model strong communication, and provide timely feedback while integrating responsible AI practices to enhance student engagement.

Qualifications

A doctorate degree is required.
18 graduate credit hours in the subject being taught.

Responsibilities

Teach courses and programs in accordance with DeVry University requirements
Facilitate student learning for undergraduate and graduate students
Develop course syllabi and lesson plans
Apply teaching techniques to achieve course and programmatic objectives
Develop, organize, prepare, revise, and update course materials
Use online technologies and course-related software, including websites, email, and online discussions
Model effective oral and written communication
Publish course objectives, assignment and examination dates, and evaluation weightings
Ensure exams correspond to course objectives
Prepare and grade exams consistently and fairly
Provide timely feedback to students
Integrate responsible AI technologies in the classroom
Recognize, evaluate, and address appropriate and inappropriate student use of AI tools
Complete other duties as assigned
