Job summary

DeVry University is seeking a Hybrid Visiting Professor of Artificial Intelligence to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, develop syllabi, and integrate AI responsibly into coursework. The role emphasizes strong communication, professional AI expertise, and the ability to explain complex topics to diverse learners.

The position offers remote and flexible options with a focus on practitioner-focused education and ongoing faculty development.

Qualifications

• A doctorate in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field with at least 18 graduate AI hours.
• Degrees must be from an institution accredited by a recognized accreditation agency.
• Three to five years of applied professional experience in AI, ML, data science, or related tech.
• Experience with AI-enabled software development and AI services.
• Two to five years of teaching experience at the post-secondary level, preferably in AI/data science.

Responsibilities

• Develops and provides an approved DeVry University syllabus with terminal objectives.
• Organizes, prepares, and updates course materials.
• Uses online technologies and course software to prepare and deliver content.
• Models clear oral and written communications to engage students.
• Publishes course objectives, schedules, and scoring distributions clearly.
• Ensures exams match objectives and provide timely feedback.
• Embraces responsible use of AI to enhance teaching and address student AI use.
• Completes other duties as assigned.
