Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) seeks a Medical Director to guide one of our 24/7 ER hospitals with clinical excellence. You will lead teams from triage to discharge, shape patient care, and own medical performance.

As a servant leader, you will foster a supportive culture, mentor doctors and technicians, oversee safety initiatives, and collaborate with market leadership to align VEG standards with our core values.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of traditional 24/7 ER experience and critical case management.
• Leadership skills training and mentorship experience preferred.
• Ability to lead hospitals and teams with integrity and servant leadership.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a positive culture through team huddles and recognition.
• Lead hospital meetings focused on medical quality and team wellbeing.
• Aide growth and development of doctors through 1:1s and development plans.
• Head patient safety initiatives to ensure safe, clinical care.
• Recruit doctors, manage candidate experience, and plan succession with talent partner.
• Collaborate with market owner to implement marketing strategy and schedule.
