VEG ER for Pets in Ohio is seeking a Medical Director to guide emergency veterinary teams across our VEG hospitals. You will drive clinical excellence, lead recruitment, and mentor doctors while maintaining a culture that values teamwork and compassionate care for both patients and their families.

The role emphasizes servant leadership, integrity, and strategic collaboration with market owners to elevate service standards and safety across the network.

Qualifications

• DVM, VMD, or equivalent degree is required.
• Strong leadership and mentorship experience is preferred.
• Ability to lead clinical teams and drive medical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a positive culture through team huddles and recognition.
• Foster collaboration between doctors and technicians to deliver high-quality care.
• Lead team meetings focusing on relationships, medical quality, and well-being.
• Support growth of doctors through 1:1s and development plans.
• Lead patient safety initiatives across the VEG network.
• Recruitment strategy and candidate experience for doctors with talent partner.
• Collaborate with market leadership on marketing strategy.
• Oversee doctor scheduling and compliance with regulations.
