Job summary

New Paradigm for Education (NPFE) is seeking an instructional leader to manage day-to-day operations and the academic and cultural vision of its PreK-12 schools in Detroit. You will lead with a data-informed approach, coach adults, and drive equitable outcomes for all students, working under the direction of the Chief Academic Officer.

You will develop systems, culture, and vision, align with state standards, and ensure rigorous daily lessons while supporting staff development and community

Qualifications

• Must possess a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in education; Masters in Education highly preferred.
• Current Michigan Teaching Certificate highly preferred.
• Must possess - or be on a path to receive - valid Michigan Administrator Certification.
• 5+ years of teaching experience.
• 2+ years of managing adults in an instructional setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide exemplary leadership to all school community members to achieve outstanding academic performance.
• Demonstrate a relentless commitment to academic achievement and developing scholars.
• Develop and communicate NPFE systems, culture, and vision, and implement plans to achieve it.
• Use data to inform decisions and model this practice for teachers and instructional leaders.
• Ensure implementation and consistency of the NPFE academic model and standards alignment.
• Conduct ongoing observations and feedback grounded in coaching model.
• Manage and lead faculty and staff, including evaluations, coaching and professional development.
• Support the recruitment of strong staff members.
• Ensure staff deliver rigorous lessons and maintain accurate student records.
• Foster staff commitment to NPFE vision and academic model.
