The Instructional Science Coach will support teachers and instructional staff implementing high quality curriculum. Grounded in high quality instructional curriculum, strong instructional practices, and knowledge of adult learning, the Instructional Science Coach will support teachers inside and outside the classroom, developing their craft and driving student achievement growth. A successful Instructional Science Coach will help close student achievement gaps in science and accelerate all science learning for all students by building teacher capacity through implementation of effective math instructional practices.
Through productive struggle, academic discourse, and performance tasks, NPFE students become problem solvers, collaborators, communicators, and owners of mathematics, to ensure college and career readiness. Instructional coaches will work under the supervision of the Executive Director of Academics aligned with the needs of the building principal in which they are assigned.
