Job summary

• Bachelor’s degree in Parks and Recreation Administration, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
• 7 years of full-time progressively responsible experience in parks and recreation administration.
• 5 years of supervisory experience.
• CPRP certification or ability to obtain within agreed timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction and vision to staff in operating the department.
• Oversee operation and programming of facilities and events.
• Develop and manage department budgets and monitor revenues/expenditures.
• Oversee grants: application, distribution and reporting.
• Represent the department at City Council and Parks and Recreation Board meetings.
