Job summary

The City of Cedar Hill is seeking an experienced Parks Project Manager to lead capital improvement efforts for parks, trails, and open spaces. You will oversee projects from planning and design through construction, coordinating consultants, contracts, and funding to deliver on time and within budget.

Under the Parks & Recreation department, you will provide public engagement support, report to leadership and the City Council, and ensure compliance with accessibility, safety, and regulatory

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or related field and 5 years in park project management.
• CAPM certification required.
• Texas driver’s license required; landscape architect license preferred.
• PMI-PMP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and manage capital improvement projects for parks, trails, and facilities.
• Oversee projects from concept through construction and warranty.
• Administer CIP, coordinate consultants, manage funding and grants.
• Engage with boards, officials, and community stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with design standards, accessibility, safety, and regulatory requirements.
