Job summary

Range Bank is seeking a Chief Lending Officer to guide commercial, consumer, and municipal lending activities. The role involves shaping lending strategy, coordinating with credit and risk teams, and directing strategic initiatives for the Business Banking unit.

Travel between multiple regions may be required. The ideal candidate has extensive banking leadership experience, a strong regulatory background, and a proven ability to drive growth while maintaining prudent risk controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or related field; MBA or Graduate School of Banking preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive banking experience, with at least 5 years in senior lending or credit leadership.
• Proven track record in commercial lending and portfolio management.
• Strong understanding of lending regulations, credit risk, and compliance.
• Demonstrated success in leading business banking initiatives and teams.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
• Commitment to community banking values and relationship-based lending.

Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for all lending functions.
• Create, manage, and lead strategic initiatives for the Business Banking department, including product development, client acquisition, and relationship management.
• Develop and implement lending strategies that support growth, profitability, and risk management.
• Collaborate with senior credit, administration, and audit teams to ensure underwriting quality and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee policies, loan authorities, and reporting; participate in loan committees and risk management discussions.
• Mentor and develop lending staff to foster accountability and service excellence.
