Job summary

Proteam Solutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced Assistant Vice President, Store Design – Concepts to lead the creative direction for three brands across flagship, concept, and pop-up environments in Manhattan. This role combines design leadership with strategic brand governance and cross-functional collaboration.

You will mentor a small team, translate brand strategies into innovative retail concepts, and ensure design standards, budgets, and schedules are met in a hybrid NYC setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture is required.
• 10–15+ years of experience in architecture, retail design or related disciplines.
• Proven experience leading conceptual design for premium retail, luxury, fashion, beauty, or multi-brand environments.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating flagship store concepts and architectural design work.
• Experience developing & maintaining comprehensive retail design standards & brand guidelines.
• Strong understanding of materials, fixtures, lighting, space planning, and customer experiences.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Vectorworks, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience directing or reviewing high-quality 3D visualizations and renderings.
• Demonstrated experience leading creative teams & managing cross-functional design initiatives.
• Exceptional presentation, communication, & stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creative direction and conceptual evolution of retail environments across three brands.
• Develop flagship locations, new stores, temporary spaces, and pop-up concepts.
• Translate brand strategies into architectural concepts, layouts, materials, fixtures, and experiential design elements.
• Research trends to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
• Collaborate with Procurement to align design with budgets.
