Job summary

Ultium Cells LLC in Warren, OH is offering an on-site Internship for an Inspection Engineer (Vision Systems) in May–August 2027. The role provides hands-on battery manufacturing experience with automation and data-driven problem solving.

Interns will work Monday–Friday, with potential extension based on business needs. The position requires currently being a Sophomore or Junior in CS or related Engineering, strong communication, analytical skills, and flexibility to work on-site in Warren.

• Currently enrolled as Sophomore or Junior in CS or related Engineering degree program.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating ideas and collaborating with team members.
• Analytical mindset with focus on problem-solving, continuous improvement, and adaptability.
• Flexible schedule availability outside standard work hours.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on experience with Vision System installation on the Manufacturing Floor.
• Analyze initial data and build DaVinci dashboards to visualize data and gain insights.
• Test and verify a deep learning model.
• Pursue Continuous Improvement Processes, Equipment Efficiency, and Productivity projects with Engineers.
• Apply logical thinking to identify root causes using data and proven problem-solving methods.
• Demonstrate mechanical/technical curiosity and mindset.
