Job summary

General Motors in Warren, MI is seeking a Summer Intern for Global Manufacturing Electrical & SDV. You will deliver innovative manufacturing solutions that support electrical first-time quality in our plants and collaborate with software, manufacturing, and program management teams.

You will write manufacturing software in C++ and create dashboards with Power BI to enable data-driven decisions. This internship offers hands-on exposure to cutting-edge projects and a supportive, growth‑oriented

Qualifications

Pursuit of a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or technology in one of the following areas: Automotive, Computer/CS/Animation, Construction Management, Civil, Industrial, Industrial Operations, IT, Machine Learning, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Robotics, Software, Data Scientists, or equivalent field
Must be graduating between December 2027 and June 2010
Able to work fulltime, 40 hours per week during the summer months

Responsibilities

Help drive meaningful progress in vehicle electrical systems through hands-on projects and problem-solving.
Foster a forward-thinking work culture that embraces change and navigates future organizational and industry challenges.
Build and nurture strategic relationships across functions including software, manufacturing, and program management to synergize efforts towards future innovations.
Assist with writing manufacturing software code (using C++) that supports the next generation of vehicle electrical systems.
Build dashboards using Power BI to help manufacturing and engineering teams make data-driven decisions.
