Pepperl+Fuchs Gruppe is seeking a Vision Systems Engineer in Ann Arbor, MI, to lead engineering projects related to machine vision and robotic guidance systems for automotive and industrial environments.

Responsibilities include pre-sale Evaluation, configuration of demo setups, customer training, and post-sale installations. Candidates should have a engineering degree, 2–4 years in robotics/vision, strong VB/.NET/C++, and willingness to travel up to 70% including international travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or closely related technical discipline.
• 2-4 years of experience in robotic programming and vision applications in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong programming skills in VB, .NET and C++.
• Understanding and troubleshooting of TCP/IP networks.
• Strong mathematics skills.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements engineering projects.
• Handles pre-sale evaluation and documentation.
• Demonstrates product for customers at VMT and customer sites.
• Configures and sets up demo equipment at VMT workshops and trade shows.
• Offers pre-sale support with system configuration and quoting.
• Performs post-sale system installations, customer training, technical support and troubleshooting.
• Develops a strong working knowledge of VMT’s machine vision product line.
• Maintains detailed records and prepares communications as needed.
• Interacts professionally on a regular basis with staff and the general public.
• Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed.
