NewView Oklahoma Center for Low Vision and Blindness / OKC Classen Office in Oklahoma City seeks a Certified Teacher of the Visually Impaired (CTVI) and Certified Orientation & Mobility Specialist (COMS). This full-time exempt position supports youth and adults with visual impairments to promote independence and safety in education and daily living.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Orientation & Mobility or Special Education with visual impairment emphasis.
• Current certification as COMS (ACVREP) and TVI (OK DOE licensure).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between service sites.

Responsibilities

• Assess functional vision and mobility needs and plan individualized instruction.
• Provide orientation and mobility instruction across indoor, school, and community environments.
• Design measurable lesson plans and track progress with data.
• Collaborate with vision professionals, educators, and families; participate in IEPs.
