Job summary
Atkins & Pearce, Inc. seeks a Vision and Controls Engineer to design, program, and support machine vision inspection systems and PLC-based controls used across our Covington plant.
You will own automated inspection applications for defect detection, dimensional verification, and process monitoring, ensuring reliable communication with production equipment. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Equivalent hands-on industrial vision and controls experience may substitute for a degree.
- Strong experience with Ladder Logic and Structured Text on PLC platforms (e.g., AB/RA, Omron, Mitsubishi).
- Hands-on experience with machine vision and dimensional inspection systems (ZEISS, Keyence, Cognex, FARO) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Program, develop, calibrate, and troubleshoot machine vision and inspection systems.
- Program, troubleshoot, and modify PLC-based automation systems.
- Integrate vision systems with PLC-controlled equipment and data reporting.
- Own projects from concept through installation, commissioning, validation, and production support.
