Job summary

Walmart is seeking an Associate Optometrist to partner with the Vision Center Manager and advance eyecare access in the community. You will deliver evidence-based vision care, prescribe medications, and coordinate patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Requires Doctor of Optometry with licensure in good standing; PGY-1 in a relevant area is preferred. This on-site role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities to contribute to Walmart’s eye health mission.

Qualifications

• OD degree from an accredited optometry school.
• Licensed optometrist in good standing.
• Post-graduate training (PGY-1) in a preferred area is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based vision care and prescribe medications and treatments.
• Perform comprehensive eye exams and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Educate patients and store staff on eye health and lens care.
• Refer patients to ophthalmologists when needed and coordinate care.
