Job summary

Walmart in Denton, TX is seeking an optician or apprentice optician to support the Vision Center. You will help customers select eyewear, verify prescriptions, take measurements, and perform minor frame repairs while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.

You will contribute to safety, asset protection, and inventory controls, and participate in community outreach and training to develop a welcoming, efficient team dedicated to member satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Two years of college or equivalent or retail/supervisory experience described in the posting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Eligible to work as an optician or apprentice optician under state laws.

Responsibilities

• Support Vision Center sales through effective merchandising, pricing, and in-stock levels.
• Guide Associates on customer service approaches to resolve needs and issues.
• Oversee inventory, asset protection, safety reviews, and adherence to company policies.
• Provide supervision, training, and development opportunities for Associates.
• Educate Members/Customers to select eyewear based on needs and prescriptions.
• Maintain confidentiality of information and assist with minor frame repairs.
