Job summary

Walmart is seeking an Optician for the Vision Center in Memphis to drive sales through superior merchandising, pricing, and in-stock accuracy. You will train and guide Associates, handle customer needs, and ensure compliant, high-quality eyewear service.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of college or 1 year of retail experience with 1 year of supervisory experience.
• 1 year of optical experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales in the Vision Center with effective merchandise presentation, pricing, signing, in-stock and inventory management.
• Provide guidance to Associates on customer service approaches and issue resolution.
• Oversee safety, asset protection, and compliance with policies and procedures in the Vision Center.
• Develop Associates through hiring, training, mentoring and recognition to foster belonging.
• Consult with Members/customers to select products, take measurements, verify prescriptions and perform minor frame repairs.
• Maintain optical equipment and ensure confidentiality of records, while supporting company programs and initiatives.
