Job summary

Walmart is seeking an Optical Department Leader to drive sales growth and ensure high service standards. You will manage merchandising, pricing accuracy, inventory oversight, and seasonal execution while coordinating with optometrists and labs to deliver precise eyewear solutions.

You will supervise the optical team, oversee measurements and fittings under supervision, and maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of college or higher preferred.
• 1 year retail experience and 1 year supervisory experience.
• 2 years general work experience including 1 year optical experience and HS diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead optical department sales growth through merchandising, pricing accuracy, and inventory oversight.
• Forecast sales trends and align product assortments with customer needs.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and accurate documentation.
• Oversee eyewear measurements, fittings, and lens parameters under supervision.
• Coach and develop optical team through training and performance management.
• Coordinate with labs, suppliers, and optometrists for product updates.
