Job summary

Walmart Vision Center is hiring at the Hartford location to drive sales through effective merchandising, pricing, and customer service. You will supervise Associates, ensure inventory and safety controls, and support community programs while adhering to company policies and integrity standards.

The role emphasizes training, mentoring, and providing a belonging workplace, with opportunities to help Members/Customers select eyewear, obtain measurements, and maintain prescription data.

Qualifications

• Requires 2+ years of college OR 1 year retail experience with 1 year supervisory experience OR 2 years general work experience including 1 year optical experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician as per state laws.

Responsibilities

• Drives sales in the Vision Center with effective merchandising and pricing.
• Supervises Associates and provides guidance on customer service and store standards.
• Oversees safety, asset protection, and compliance with company policies.
• Provides training and development opportunities for Vision Center staff.
• Consults with Members/Customers to ensure proper product selection and measurements.
