Job summary

Visionworks is seeking an OD Tech/Optometric Assistant to be the face of our exam practice, guiding patients through the first steps of their eye-care journey with a friendly and knowledgeable approach.

You will support the doctor, manage patient records, assist on the sales floor, and handle daily store operations to ensure a seamless patient experience. This part-time role emphasizes care, accuracy, and teamwork across the clinic.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer or patient service is preferred but not required.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducting preliminary testing.
• Introduce patient to the OD and provide OD with important patient information.
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and educate on products and services.
• Execute store operations to support exam lane maintenance and patient experience, including restocking and answering phones.
• Open/close the store to support business as needed.
