Job summary

Visionworks of America is seeking a Clinical Specialist (CS)/Optometric Assistant to be the face of our exam practice, guiding patients through initial eye health steps with warmth and clarity. You will support testing, patient records, and the transition to OD, while ensuring a smooth experience on the sales floor.

This role emphasizes strong customer service, basic eye care knowledge, and collaboration with clinicians and staff to educate patients on products and services that fit their needs.

Qualifications

• Customer or patient experience preferred, but not necessary.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducing preliminary testing
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and provide associates necessary information to educate and recommend products and services
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals
