Job summary

Visionworks is seeking a part-time Clinical Specialist/Optometric Assistant in Florida to be the face of our Exam Practice, guiding patients through the early steps of their eye care journey with a friendly, human and bold approach.

The role covers preliminary testing knowledge, assisting OD, transitioning patients to the sales floor, and supporting day-to-day operations, including restocking, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to enhance the patient experience.

Qualifications

• Related customer or patient experience preferred, but not necessary.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducing preliminary testing
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and educate and recommend products and services that meet their eye care needs
• Execute day-to-day operational activities to support the store's exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones to meet additional patient needs
