Job summary

Visionworks is seeking a friendly and knowledgeable Clinical Specialist (CS)/Optometric Assistant to be the face of our Exam Practice. You’ll guide patients through preliminary testing, introduce them to the OD, and help educate on products that meet their eye care needs.

Expect part-time hours in a fast-paced retail setting with a strong emphasis on customer experience. The role requires basic patient interaction skills, a HS diploma or GED, and a passion for helping customers see clearly.

Qualifications

• Related customer or patient experience preferred, but not necessary
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate patient records before conducing preliminary testing
• Introduce patient to OD and provide OD with important patient information
• Transition patient from doctor to sales floor and provide associates necessary information to educate and recommend products and services that meet their eye care needs
• Execute day-to-day operational activities supporting exam lane maintenance and patient experience goals including restocking inventory, cleaning equipment, and answering phones
