Job summary

The Vision Automotive Group in Rochester, NY is seeking an Accounting Clerk to support day-to-day financial transactions, reconcile accounts, and assist with dealership-specific processes such as vehicle inventory accounting, deal posting, and schedule reconciliation.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma (associate degree preferred), 1+ year automotive accounting experience, proficiency in Excel and basic accounting software, and strong attention to detail with excellent

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• 1+ years of accounting experience; automotive/dealership experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with CDK preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Post new and used vehicle deals into the accounting system.
• Reconcile schedules including new/used vehicle inventory, contracts in transit, and warranty receivables.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Assist with bank deposits and daily cash reconciliation.
• Prepare and process dealer trades and floor plan payoffs.
• Support month-end closing procedures.
• Communicate with sales and finance departments to resolve deal discrepancies.
• Communicate with parts and service departments to resolve purchase order discrepancies.
• Maintain organized filing systems (digital and physical).
