Job summary

Teradyne in North Reading, MA, is seeking a Software Engineering Manager for the Innovation Lab to guide imaging, vision, metrology, and automated test systems software. You will lead a team of engineers, set schedules and budgets, and advance software architecture for high-throughput vision applications.

You will collaborate with optics, mechanical, electrical, and systems teams to deliver integrated solutions, establish coding standards, and mentor talent.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of software development experience, including machine vision or image processing.
• 3+ years of engineering leadership or management experience.
• Experience with C++, C#, Python, or similar languages.
• Strong software architecture and OO design knowledge.
• Experience with cameras, optical instrumentation, or automated test systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• AI/ML applications for image analysis and real-time processing.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers.
• Manage project priorities, schedules, budgets, and resources.
