Job summary

Teradyne, a global leader in test and automation solutions, is seeking a senior robotics software engineer to design and extend software for advanced test systems at our North Reading, MA site.

You will develop operating software for capital equipment and factory information systems, collaborate with global teams, and contribute to safe, robust control of 6-DOF robotic arms and sensor networks. On-site work is required with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of software development experience in C++, C#, Python.
• Experience developing distributed and multi-threaded applications.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design.
• Robotics software experience is a must, with knowledge of robotic systems, 6-DOF arm control, and multiple APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design and extend software for a large test system.
• Develop operating software for capital equipment and factory information systems.
• Collaborate with engineers across disciplines and with global design teams.
• Work mostly on-site in North Reading, MA with moderate travel within the US and to southeast Asia.
