Qualifications

• BS or MS in Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• 10+ years of optical engineering experience including design and testing.
• 3+ years of engineering leadership or management experience.
• Strong knowledge of imaging systems, optical instrumentation, lens design, illumination.
• Experience with Zemax, Code V, or similar tools.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of optical engineers.
• Manage project schedules, priorities, and resource allocation.
• Oversee the design, development, and validation of optical systems, including imaging, illumination, and metrology solutions.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, software, and systems engineering teams to develop integrated products.
• Work with customers and suppliers to define requirements and resolve technical issues.
• Drive design reviews, risk assessments, and engineering best practices.
• Support product introduction, manufacturing, and field issue resolution.
• Foster innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
