Job summary

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) seeks a Virtualization Administrator to support AEDC at Arnold Air Force Base in Tennessee. You will design, administer, sustain, and maintain enterprise virtualization and desktop infrastructure, partnering with cross-functional teams to meet mission needs.

The role requires VMware vSphere, Horizon, Veeam, and Windows Server expertise, with the ability to work outside normal hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field with 5+ years of relevant experience or 9 years accepted in lieu.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD secret security clearance and access AEDC LAN.
• U.S. Citizenship required for employment at AEDC.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize VMware and VDI environments (vCenter, ESXi, clusters, VMs, pools, templates).
• Perform maintenance, patching, capacity planning, performance tuning for virtualization and VDI infrastructure.
• Develop, deploy, and manage golden images; coordinate OS/app updates and validation.
• Manage backups with Veeam or equivalent; monitor, restore, and validate disasters.
• Coordinate with server/storage/network teams; support AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO as needed.
• Ensure STIG/compliant configurations; assist with vulnerability remediation and security posture.
• Create automation scripts (PowerShell/PowerCLI); document SOPs and diagrams.
