Job summary

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) seeks a Sr. Linux System Administrator to support AEDC at Arnold Air Force Base, TN. The role focuses on Linux server/workstation administration, security hardening, and virtualization, with DoD policy compliance and occasional after-hours work.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s in IT or equivalent experience, and be capable of obtaining a security clearance. Strong scripting and collaboration with ISSM are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT-related field or 12 years IT experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience with Linux systems, virtualization, and DoD security requirements.
• Ability to obtain/maintain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage Linux servers, workstations, and services for AEDC environment.
• Configure, patch, harden, and monitor systems per STIGs and DoD policy.
• Deploy virtualization ecosystems (VMware, OpenShift) and maintain baselines.
• Support cybersecurity compliance and incident response as needed.
• Collaborate with ISSM and AEDC teams on operations and improvements.
