Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking an Engineer II - Virtualization to join our Production Services team. You will design and maintain complex production systems, administer Linux-based environments on thousands of bare metal servers and VMs, and drive automation and AI-assisted workflows.

Collaboration across global teams is essential as we scale their AI-native platform. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in CS, expertise with OpenStack, VMware, and container technologies, and

Qualifications

• US Citizenship or Green Card holder status.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science.
• Experience with infrastructure technologies at scale including Linux, Windows, VMware, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience administering large-scale OpenStack environments in production.
• Experience managing VMware vCenter/ESXi at scale including HA, DRS, and vMotion.
• Working knowledge of networking with VLANs, DHCP, BGP.
• Configuration management with Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
• Experience writing technical documentation.
• Proven experience using AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain complex technical systems architecture, providing recommendations for improvement.
• Manage and support large-scale production deployments of servers and applications inside internal datacenters.
• Administer Linux systems across thousands of bare metal servers and virtual machines.
• Develop and improve scripts, automation tools, and operational workflows using Python, Go, or PowerShell.
• Troubleshoot server hardware, hypervisor, and infrastructure issues.
• Participate in on-call rotation with incident management responsibilities including PagerDuty, runbooks, and post-mortems.
