Job summary

CrowdStrike, a global cybersecurity leader, seeks a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to fortify our TechOps CICD pipeline. You will spearhead on-prem virtualization using QEMU/KVM, drive the migration to a KVM-based private cloud, and shape storage architectures for high-scale workloads.

You will build and maintain infrastructure as code with Terraform, Packer, and Ansible while ensuring robust monitoring and resilience across R&D environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in a large-scale production infrastructure environment.
• Must be able to participate in an on-call rotation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lead effectively across a distributed team in multiple time zones.
• Meticulous attention to detail and sound judgment in a fast-moving environment.
• Security mindset with a general understanding of cybersecurity principles.
• Potential travel for team meetings.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and operation of on-premises virtualization environments, with a focus on QEMU/KVM and OpenNebula.
• Drive the team's migration from VMware toward a KVM-based IaC private cloud model.
• Contribute to storage migrations and architecture design, including TrueNAS/PowerFlex.
• Design, build, and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Packer, and Ansible.
• Operate and optimize distributed storage infrastructure and protocols (NFS, CIFS, block storage).
• Ensure proper monitoring, maintenance, and resilience of critical R&D environments.
• Determine root-cause for incidents and drive resolution.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Contribute to IaC, automation scripts, and configuration management code.
