Qualifications

We are seeking a Virtual Validation & xIL Lead Engineer to support the development and integration of simulation frameworks, virtual validation environments, restbus simulation solutions, and automated testing capabilities for next-generation vehicle programs.

The engineer will work with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy scalable MiL/SiL/HiL/ViL solutions, integrate simulation tools and models, and support automated virtual testing across vehicle systems.

This is a hands-on engineering role suited for someone with experience in automotive simulation, virtual validation, restbus simulation, test automation, or embedded systems integration.

Key Responsibilities

xIL & Virtual Validation

• Support development and integration of MiL, SiL, HiL, and ViL simulation environments.
• Develop reusable simulation and virtual validation solutions.
• Integrate simulation models, test environments, software, and engineering tools.
• Support improvements in simulation performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Develop automated workflows for virtual testing and validation.

Simulation Toolchain

• Support integration of simulation tools and engineering platforms.
• Develop and maintain simulation workflows and execution processes.
• Support CI/CD integration for automated simulation and testing.
• Assist with cloud-based and distributed simulation environments.
• Manage simulation models, test artifacts, and related engineering data.

Restbus Simulation

• Develop and maintain restbus simulation environments.
• Support network simulation for CAN, Ethernet, LIN, and FlexRay.
• Simulate missing ECUs and system-level communication behavior.
• Develop reusable signal, timing, and behavioral models.
• Troubleshoot communication and system integration issues.

Testing & Integration

• Support automated test development and execution.
• Analyze simulation and test results and identify issues.
• Collaborate with software, embedded, systems, validation, and vehicle engineering teams.
• Support debugging and root-cause analysis of complex integration problems.
• Document test environments, simulation configurations, and engineering processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of automotive engineering or embedded systems experience.
• Experience with one or more of:
• xIL / virtual validation
• MiL / SiL / HiL
• Automotive simulation
• Restbus simulation
• Embedded systems integration
• Understanding of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, Ethernet, or LIN.
• Experience with software development, scripting, or test automation.
• Familiarity with Git or other version-control systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and ability to work with cross-functional engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink.
• Experience with Vector CANoe/CANalyzer, dSPACE, ETAS, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of AUTOSAR.
• Experience with Linux or embedded software environments.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and automated testing.
• Automotive OEM or Tier-1 experience.
• Experience in ADAS, electrification, propulsion, chassis, body, or infotainment systems.
