Texas Health Resources seeks a Telemetry Monitor Technician for the Centralized Monitoring Virtual Department in Plano. On-site engagement at Texas Health Plano, with PRN work hours, focusing on continuous cardiac rhythm monitoring and patient advocacy.

Responsibilities include setting up telemetry equipment, timely data collection and reporting, and ensuring regulatory-compliant documentation while maintaining high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 1 year of telemetry monitoring strongly preferred.
• BCLS prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly is required.
• Basic understanding/ability to learn medical terminology.

• Demonstrates competency in the setup and use of the telemetry monitoring equipment.
• Collects, reports, and documents patient information (rhythms/rate) timely and accurately.
• Seeks assistance, supervision, or consultation when unsure of rhythm(s) identification.
• Distinguishes and reports abnormalities and initiates action to provide continuity of care.
• Serves as a patient advocate.
• Assists with documentation that supports and meets hospital and regulatory requirements.

Here’s What You Need

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent is required
• 1 year of telemetry monitoring is strongly preferred
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly is required
