Texas Health Resources in Plano is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Neuro Telemetry in a fast-paced, high-volume unit. This full-time Days position (36 hours/week) offers a collaborative team environment focused on high-quality patient care and ongoing professional development.

You will deliver care using the nursing process, assess and plan for patients, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes while adhering to safety and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or diploma from an accredited nursing program.
• BSN preferred.
• One year of clinical nurse experience or RN residency completion.
• BCLS, ACLS, and CPI training within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients using the Nursing Process.
• Assesses the patient.
• Plans the care.
• Intervenes as appropriate.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
• Incorporates age-specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet information needs of patient and family.
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and during transfers.

Neuro Telemetry Department Highlights

• 25 Bed unit that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth
• Nurses improve quality of care for neuro tele patients such as scoliosis, post neuro surgeries, and stroke with multiple comorbidities.
• Fast-Paced, high-volume department

• The professional nurse demonstrates recognition and understanding of the patient’s affiliations.

Here’s What You Need

• Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program Or Diploma Nurse Program
• BSN preferred
• One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
• BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support and ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support and CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training 60 Days Req
• RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator and coordinator for quality patient care
