Texas Health Resources is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for Medical Surgical Telemetry at the Plano facility. This full-time days role requires weekend and holiday coverage, with a 7a-7p schedule in the Texas Health Plano unit.
The ideal candidate has an associate degree in nursing (BSN preferred) and at least 1 year of RN experience or completion of a RN residency. BCLS certification is required prior to independent patient care.

Work hours: Full-Time Days 7a- 7p - Weekend and holiday requirements
22- bed Medical Surgical Telemetry unit
1:5 RN: patient ratio, 1 PCT for every 10-11 pts
Experience as preceptor and/or charge nurse highly preferred
Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program; nursing diploma
BSN preferred.
1 year experience as a registered nurse or completion of a RN residency program req
RN Nurse Upon Hire Required
BCLS - prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req.
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
Assesses the patient
Plans the care of the patient
Intervenes as appropriate
Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
