Job summary

Lackawanna College in Scranton seeks an Online Student Experience Coordinator to enhance student success in our online programs. You will collaborate with Admissions, Advising, Student Success and eLearning to provide technology and learning support that promotes academic achievement.

You will onboard first-year online students, assist in registration, answer inquiries, and connect students with needed resources.

Qualifications

• Coursework in instructional technology, education, student development, and/or higher ed leadership strongly preferred.
• Minimum two (3) years of experience with online coursework, advising, student support, or related areas.
• Teaching and familiarity with Canvas LMS strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Onboard first-year online students and maintain communications with related college offices.
• Assist in the registration of incoming online students and connect them with needed support.
• Serve as point-of-contact for online student questions and inquiries, delivering proactive support.
• Collaborate to develop online retention initiatives and improve the online student experience.
• Advise online students to ensure graduation progress and provide referrals as needed.
• Oversee early alert processes to identify at-risk online students and coordinate interventions.
• Assess and document compliance with eLearning policies and procedures.
• Manage the eCD COL 101 ONLINE course shell and facilitate College 101 sessions.
• Assist in planning orientation, Welcome Weekend, Open House, and related events.
• Provide career development guidance, resume/cover letter support, and web research skills.
• Work during high-impact periods (orientation, graduation, finals, etc.).
• Other duties related to Student Success and eLearning.
