Job summary

Point Quest Group is seeking a Virtual Special Education Teacher to lead a diverse classroom, develop and implement IEPs, manage behavior with PBIS, and collaborate with families and staff to support each student's academic and social growth.

This full-time role requires NM teaching certification, a Bachelor's degree, and 2–5 years of experience. You will provide coaching, virtual professional development, and district-wide support to ensure high fidelity and positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development and implementation.
• Experience supporting teachers and SPED programs across campuses.
• Strong communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
• Experience coaching, consultation and professional development.
• Know how to facilitate MDRs.
• New Mexico Department of Education Teaching Certificate.
• Bachelor's degree

Responsibilities

• Review and provide feedback on IEPs, goals, accommodations, modifications, and progress monitoring practices.
• Support instructional planning and specially designed instruction.
• Provide coaching and technical assistance regarding IDEA requirements and IEP implementation.
• Assist with transition planning and compliance-related documentation.
• Support new and developing special education teachers through mentoring and consultation.
• Deliver virtual professional development and training.
• Collaborate with district coordinators and administrators to identify and address areas of need.
• Assist in the development of systems and practices that improve implementation fidelity and student outcomes.

What You’ll Do

• Know and understand how to facilitate MDRs
• New Mexico Department of Education Teaching Certificate
• Bachelor's degree

Preferred:

• Master's in special education
• 2-5 years working with students with learning and/or social-emotional needs
• Experience implementing curriculum and behavior interventions
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with IEP documentation systems (e.g., IEP pro)
