Job summary

The Wood Agency Life is hiring for a 100% remote, independent-contractor life insurance sales role. Youll meet with families by phone or video, listen to their goals, present coverage options in plain language, and complete the application together. Youll support underwriting, keep families informed, and document notes in the CRM.

Teachers and school staff are good at explaining hard things clearly. This 100% remote, 1099 independent-contractor life insurance sales role applies that skill to families who requested coverage information, on a schedule you manage.

What you'll actually do

• Meet by phone or video with people who've already asked about life insurance
• Start by listening to the family's situation, goals, and worries
• Break coverage options into plain language, then complete the application together
• Follow each application through underwriting and keep families informed
• Record notes and next steps in the CRM
• Keep learning, because products and rules change and training continues

Who this is a fit for

• Experience teaching, coaching, or working in a school setting

• Comfortable planning your own schedule instead of following a bell
• A state life insurance license, or a plan to get licensed before your first sale
• Willing to learn a new regulated field from the ground up
• At least 18 and legally authorized to work in the United States
