B&I Contractors, Inc. in Florida seeks an experienced Virtual Construction Superintendent - Plumbing to lead BIM/VDC integration for plumbing installations on commercial and industrial projects, bridging field operations with virtual models to improve constructability and schedule adherence.

Candidates should have 8+ years in plumbing, BIM/VDC experience with Revit/Navisworks/AutoCAD MEP, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of plumbing installation experience in field or superintendent role.
• Experience collaborating with BIM/VDC teams or exposure to 3D modeling platforms (Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD MEP).
• Strong understanding of plumbing specifications, contract documents, and plumbing code.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed construction drawings and plumbing piping isometrics.
• Exceptional communication and coordination skills bridging field and virtual workflows.
• Familiarity with ACC, Bluebeam, or similar platforms preferred.
• Experience in plumbing coordination and preconstruction planning preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as the field authority within the BIM/VDC team, coordinating with field walks and meetings.
• Review and approve shop drawings, fabrication deliverables, and installation plans for specifications compliance.
• Oversee model QA/QC for plumbing code and constructability issues.
• Coordinate with project teams to align virtual and field schedules.
• Interpret plumbing specs and contract docs to guide accurate modeling and detailing.
• Mentor BIM/VDC modelers on sequencing and field realities.
• Support prefabrication and modular piping strategies with accurate virtual planning.
• Review submittals to verify equipment/materral conformance to project requirements.
• Conduct field visits to review shop drawings with installation crews and gather improvement feedback.
