Qualifications

• 8+ years in plumbing installation in field or superintendent role.
• Experience with BIM/VDC teams or 3D modeling platforms (Revit/Navisworks/AutoCAD MEP).
• Strong understanding of plumbing specifications, contract documents, and plumbing code.
• Ability to read detailed construction drawings and isometrics.
• Excellent communication to bridge field and virtual workflows.

Responsibilities

• Act as field authority within BIM/VDC, coordinating with teams and conducting field walks.
• Review and approve shop drawings, fabrication deliverables, and installation plans for specs compliance.
• Oversee model QA/QC for plumbing code, conflicts, and constructability concerns.
• Coordinate with project teams to align virtual deliverables with field schedules.
• Guide modeling/detailing via plumbing specifications and contract docs.
• Mentor BIM/VDC modelers on installation sequencing and field realities.
• Support prefabrication and modular piping through accurate virtual planning.
• Review submittals to verify equipment and material meets project requirements.
• Visit sites to review shop drawings with installation crews and gather feedback.
