Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group seeks a Plant Modeling Engineer to support the Global Virtual Engineering team, building sensor/actuator virtual assets for cross-functional CoSim environments used in vehicle development.

The role requires leading virtualization efforts, integrating Simulink-based models with hardware and software teams, and delivering robust virtual environments for calibration, validation and verification processes.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Software or Aerospace Engineering.
• 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and interface with controllers.
• Familiarity with SIM tools and virtualization environments.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand electrical drawings and device wiring.
• Develop sensor/actuator plant models in Simulink.
• Follow interface standards for VHiL/HiL/SiL/CoSim.
• Define and execute test cases from customer feedback.
• Lead device data acquisition for performance characterization.
• Manage model change, release notes, and test cases.
• Define virtualization requirements across communities.
• Coordinate requirements between vehicle and propulsion domains.
• Translate calibration differences into robust model design.
