Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Plant Modeling and Simulation Engineer to develop, validate, and maintain high-quality plant models supporting XIL, virtual validation, and system integration activities.

You will build scalable 0D/1D models across vehicle domains, align with requirements, and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to enable efficient virtual development and validation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in plant modeling, simulation, or V&V environments.
• Strong understanding of Model-Based Development (MBD) and virtual testing methods.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink or similar modeling tools.
• Knowledge of 0D/1D physical system modeling.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and methods.
• Experience in one scripting language.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain 0D/1D plant models representing physical systems.
• Ensure models meet fidelity levels for development phases.
• Perform model validation and correlation against requirements and test data.
• Support model reduction and optimization for simulation efficiency.
• Integrate plant models into XIL workflows and environments.
• Support virtual testing, requirement validation, and system verification.
