Job summary

Annual Dialysis Conference in Temple, TX seeks a Nurse Practitioner to provide direct patient care in a nephrology specialty clinic. You will assess patients, order tests, prescribe therapies within supervising physician protocol, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes patient counseling, documentation, and ensuring quality outcomes, with a typical schedule Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm, outpatient, with travel to sister clinics; hybrid work model and nephrology

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical examination and documentation standards.
• Ability to order and interpret diagnostic tests per protocol.
• RN licensure in Texas or compact privilege; Texas APRN license required.
• Certification as NP with BLS within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and collect medical histories.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory tests and diagnostics.
• Prescribe therapies within approved protocols, ensuring safety and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and implement patient treatment plans in collaboration with physicians.
• Counsel patients and families on medications, regimens, and lifestyle changes.
• Maintain accurate medical records and coordinate referrals as needed.
• Provide consultation for conditions related to the specialty and training.
• Deliver care in various settings beyond primary clinic as required.
