ACCEL Schools' Virtual Preparatory Academy of West Virginia seeks teachers to create a rigorous, nurturing online classroom across core content areas, delivering live lessons via web conference and managing course setup in the Learning Management System.

This role requires WV eligibility, willingness to travel for state testing and events several times per year, and a commitment to differentiating instruction and monitoring student progress.

Qualifications

• Current State teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Preferred two years’ teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor in all core content areas and grade levels.
• Deliver highly effective live lessons via web conference based on student need.
• Complete course setup for each course within the LMS.
• Monitor student progress in asynchronous courses and provide feedback daily.
• Collaborate with Principal to create and deliver Progress Reports of Students.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding academic and social-emotional growth.
