Job summary

The Virtual Preparatory Academy of Florida seeks a Mathematics Content Coach to support teachers in grades 3–10 with standards-aligned curriculum, pacing, and instructional resources. You will monitor progress and help align standards coverage with pacing guides.

This online role requires collaboration with instructional coaches and school leadership, plus occasional travel for state testing and events. Florida residence and strong math education background are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education.
• Five or more years of experience in education with demonstrated expertise in mathematics.
• Strong knowledge of mathematics standards, curriculum, pacing, and assessment across grades 3–10.
• Experience developing, implementing, or monitoring curriculum maps and pacing guides.
• Experience analyzing standards-level student achievement data and identifying instructional priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support mathematics teachers in grades 3–10 with implementation of standards-aligned curriculum, pacing guides, and instructional resources.
• Monitor pacing to ensure standards are taught within instructional timelines.
• Track standards introduced, taught, assessed, mastered, and remaining gaps.
• Unpack mathematics standards with teachers to clarify concepts and skills.
• Review curriculum maps and pacing guides for alignment with grade-level standards.
• Analyze student achievement data to identify gaps and priorities.
• Collaborate with teachers to adjust pacing and priorities based on performance.
• Identify prerequisite skills and ensure progression across grades 3–10.
• Support vertical alignment of mathematics concepts and skills across grades.
• Facilitate planning and data discussions focused on pacing, coverage, and mastery.
